Going Mobile

Still in operation today, Ironside’s first manufactured mobile mill was in built in 1983. Now, 29 years later, Ironside’s mobile line has expanded to include mills designed for custom jobs or standard pipe producing jobs, and has set the bar in the corrugated steel pipe industry. Achieve new limits on pipe diameter by eliminating the requirement of transporting the finished pipe as well as transportation costs. These are only a few of the competitive advantages a company gains by having a mobile mill.

Save on Shipping

Now 25 ft (7.6 M) diameter pipe is possible! With the assistance of 8 gauge material and Ironside’s own 2” x 6” corrugation; diameters in the 25 ft (7 M) range are achievable. Yet the mobile is not limited to large diameters only. Just like our standard models, the mobile can be set up to run various corrugation profiles with pipe diameters starting at 12”.

Flood Relief and Other Disasters

These large types of pipe are perfect for flood relief and other disasters, as the mobile can be sent to the site via road, rail or ferry and be in production less than four hours after arrival (assuming proper site preparation is completed).

Location, Location, Location

Why set up a number of pipe manufacturing locations when you can set up one? Now it’s possible to have various pipe depots throughout the country where the mobile mill can set up at, produce stock and move onto the next depot.
